OleMiss/ Birthday Weekend
Hey ya'll! My southern roots are back in full force!
Last weekend we met my parents in Oxford, MS. for my birthday! Not only could I not believe it was already November and I was turning 26, I couldn't believe how much Oxford had changed! The square had completely grown and all the stores and restaurant were bigger and better!
My mom and I shopped and lunched and then met up with my dear friend Jennifer. It was so good to see her and I finally got to meet her adorable baby boy, John Alden. We caught up and had a great time!
Then, that evening on Friday my parents, Eddie and I went to Downtown Grill. This was also one of my favorite places in college. Oh, and it sure was still good. The appetizers and the catfish were so delicious. Gosh, how I had missed true southern food! We went out afterwards to a new swanky restaurant and had drinks with my friend Jennifer and her husband John.
Saturday we went to the grove and Ole Miss football game! Ole Miss won the game, as they should have! (We played an easy team)
Anyways, it was a great weekend reliving old memories, and spending time with my family. I absoulutley was thrilled I got to see my parents and spend time back in my wonderful college town, Oxford!!!!!
Hope everyone has a great week, only 10 days till Thanksgiving! Can't believe it!

Anniversary Weekend
So last week marked the official day of Eddie's and my two year anniversary!
We decided to plan a very mini getaway to Annapolis for the weekend! There was a boat show going on and we thought it would be fun to check it out!
Our friends Christina and Reid were there and we went on a lot of cool sail boats and sipped a lot of cocktails! It was so much fun!
Then, that evening Eddie and I ate at a fab restaurant called the Chart House. It overlooked the water and we ate some amazing fish!
We ended the night at the Sheraton. It was a much older Sheraton, and we had double beds. Eddie booked the room a little late, and it was the last room left in the whole city due to the boat show and several weddings! So it wasn't the greatest hotel to say the least. However, I was with my husband of 2 years and there was no where I would have rather been!
Hope everyone has a wonderful week! I can't believe it's almost Halloween!

Busy, Busy
Gosh, where has the time gone? It is already fall and I have been a horrible blogger!
I guess I do have an excuse. Life has been busy! However, when I say that I mean it in a good way!
I am absolutley loving my kindergarteners. It is tiring, but so rewarding and just fun!
Over the past few weeks there has been lots of learning! We also got a new class pet named Finn. Not to mention our fun class activity. In Religion, we have been talking about how God has made us all special and we all have unique gifts. So during class we made a web. I started the web and named something special about myself, then passed the white yarn to a student to name something special about themselves. This continued until we had made one, large class web. The kids loved it and it truly showed them that even though we each have special gifts, we are all connected as one.
It was a great beginning of the year activity, and hopefully it also helped everyone to get to know each other a little better too!
In the meantime, we also have done many cute fall activities that I will post soon.
Lastly,I also ran into one of my students at the sports bar last night. She was so excited to see me, and asked how I got there. I do not think she expected to see her teacher out watching football (Ole Miss) and actually eating! Ha! She was so cute.
Before we left, she brought me a note saying I was the best teacher ever and she had drawn jack-o-lanterns all over the paper. It was so sweet, and totally made my night! Her mom said I made her weekend!
Ahhh, Kindergarten it truly has been a blessing from God!
I hope everyone has a great week! Hopefully more updates sooner than later!

A new adventure!!!!!
Well what can I say the past week has been complete mayhem. From running back and forth to meetings and setting up my new kindergarten classroom, there has been barley a minute to breathe.
However, today was my official first day and what can I say it turned out to be wonderful!
My class is completely precious..... and luckily there were no tears. Everyone was apparently excited and ready for school. I think the parents may have be more sad than the children (which is completely understandable). Nonethless, all of the students seem truly loving.
Anyways, besides nearly forgetting one child in the bathroom, all went really well.
For now, I hope everyone has a good rest of their week, and I'm sure I will be back with more funny stories and updates.

Sam and Eddie
Well I just got back from another trip. Gosh, I guess besides nannying that has really been the bulk of summer!
Anyways, Eddie and I went to Turks and Caicos with his parents, his brother Sam, and cousin Adam.
Everything was wonderful! I love resort life. You wake up, go down to breakfast, lay out or boat all day,(beautiful water there) maybe have a few drinks, and then get ready for a fun evening at a fab restaurant. No worries, all relaxation! Ahhhhh! Too bad, it is definitely not real life. At least not for me!
Nonetheless, we had a great time with everyone and hope to go back one day!
For now, I am back in the real world, going over my curriculum for the upcoming school year! Gosh, where has summer gone!
Hope everyone is having a great week!
Bye for now! XO

Houston, Texas...... Still # 1 in my heart.
We'll this past weekend I got to take another trip. This time it was to the place that will always be most special. Yes, Houston, Texas the place I was born and raised. I got to see some of my best friends. I got to spend time with Adria, Ashley, and Courtney. The main reason for the trip was to meet Courtney's new baby. His name is Noah and let me tell you he is one precious baby boy.
I also spent a great time with Gavin, Adria's adorable one year old son. Oh... it was a blast.
I also got to truly see what motherhood was like, and it was good practice.
Unfortunately, I was so into catching up and playing with the babies. I forgot to snap but only one mere photo. Oh, well the company and time spent was wonderful and I miss them all so much already!
Off to run errands now. XOXO

In the Summertime........
Hello All,
I have decided to start a blog to keep all my friends and family posted on all our happenings. Especially since a great deal of my family and friends are out of state!
So I will start with our first summer trip! For the week before 4th of July my family planned a trip to Easton, Maryland (which is on the Eastern shore of Maryland ) It was definiltey a fun trip! Not only did my family go but our dear friends Ashley and Zac flew down from Houston. Ashley is like a sister to me, so my parents were thrilled to have her! She just got married in February and this was our first trip together with our husbands! What made it so great was our husbands (Eddie and Zac) were pretty much best friends by day two of the trip!
Some highlights of the trip were bike riding, boating, just soaking up the sun! We also found the house where Wedding Crashers was filmed and went and ate at a restraunt the whole cast was at. Yes, apparently, I sat at the same table where Owen Wilson and his dog ate breakfast nearly every morning during filming! Oh, and on our last night Eddie and I watched the most amazing fireworks over the water. They were breathtaking!
It was also so wonderful to see my parents. I miss them so much and it was great to be with them in such a fun and relaxed atmosphere!
I miss them all already, but will see them again before summer ends!
Hope your 4th was great as well!
